Gallant at the end of the assessment of the situation in the Northern Command: “We adopt a policy of active defense, exacting a price against any threat”
Defense Minister Yoav Galant, held a situation assessment at the Northern Command during the Sabbath together with the commander of the command Major General Uri Gordin, Major General (res.) Yitzhak (Jerry) Gershon and the senior officer of the command.
The Minister of Defense received an overview of the activities of the forces to protect the settlements and remove threats in the border area, and insisted on maintaining the active defense policy, collecting a price from Hezbollah against any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF forces.
The Minister of Defense said at the end of the assessment of the situation: “At this time, the IDF forces are operating in the south, in an attack, with great success, in a precise, deadly manner, and are carrying out their missions. “If Hezbollah makes a mistake, we will know what to do – we are ready on land, we are ready in the air, we are ready at sea, our intelligence keeps an eye on things and together we are able to meet any challenge – our goal is to make the residents of the north feel safe. This process will take a little more time, but we will get there.”
