Police have received a tip-off that a terror gang was operating in Chennai smuggling and selling drugs by courier. It was also revealed that the gang was selling painkillers called narcotics. Do not sell these pills without a doctor’s prescription. But there were sensational reports that the gang was selling these pills illegally, especially to college students.
It was also revealed that the gang had set up a ‘WhatsApp’ group among college students who used drugs and supplied the pills. The police secretly collected full details about them. Commissioner Shankar Jiwal ordered the arrest of the gang members. For this the personnel were set up and unloaded on the field.
2 people were trapped
It was also revealed that the drug gang was operating in the Kodambakkam area. So the private police in disguise were engaged in surveillance in the Kodambakkam Trustpuram area. At that time, 2 suspects who came on a motorcycle were caught and interrogated. They checked the bag they were carrying.
Inside the bag, there were plenty of over-the-counter painkillers such as Tidal and Nitravid. Those pills were confiscated. Kishore (23) of Ashoknagar and Kishore Kumar (20) of KK Nagar were arrested. The motorcycle they came on was also confiscated.
4 more arrested
According to them, Poonkunran (26) from Kothavalsavadi, Chennai, Muthupandi (23) from Rajapalayam, Gokulan (24) from Kadamalaikundai near Andipatti in Theni district and Rajalakshmi (22) from Poonamallee, Chennai were arrested.
4 thousand 620 nitrite tablets and 2 thousand 220 tidal tablets were confiscated from them. Pills used for abortion were also seized.
Graduate girl
4.41 lakh cash, 2 laptops, 9 cell phones and 3 motorcycles were seized from the arrested gang.
The arrested Rajalakshmi is a graduate. Police said he was the mastermind behind the drug dealing with college students. Police said the gang was being investigated.
