jpnn.comSEMARANG – Six political parties (parpol) that are members of the Advanced Semarang Coalition have declared their support for Yoyok Sukawi as a prospective candidate for mayor of Semarang in the 2024 Pilkada.

The coalition consists of the Democratic Party, PKS, PAN, PKB, PPP, and the NasDem Party.

The six political parties agreed to nominate the PSIS boss, whose full name is Alamsyah Satyanegara Sukawijaya, in the regional head election or Semarang City Pilkada.

In the declaration of support, each political party leader stated their reasons for supporting Yoyok Sukawi.

One underlying point is that the member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Democratic Faction is a native son of Semarang City who has the blood of a leader.

“I accept this mandate to run as mayor of Semarang,” said Yoyok on the sidelines of the declaration held at the Santika Hotel in Semarang City, Saturday evening (27/7).

Currently, Yoyok, who has 20 seats from a combination of six political parties, is just one step away from competing in the Semarang mayoral election which will be held next November.

“We are still waiting for four parties out there to join. I hope that friends outside the coalition can work together to build Semarang City to be more advanced,” he said.
