EconomistesBANthe network of private investors of the College of Economists of Catalonia that brings entrepreneurs and investors into contact, organized yesterday in Girona a new edition of the Investor Forum. A total of six start-ups were presented, two of them from Girona, seeking to attract between 75,000 and 500,000 euros from investors. From EconomistesBAN, Marta Alsinella and Enric Serle, emphasize that since this network was launched ten years ago, the interest of investors to invest in entrepreneurial projects has grown a lot. Most are business angels. “Unlike a decade ago, today Barcelona and Catalonia have become an entrepreneurial hub that attracts talent from all over the world, and this is also noticeable when it comes to finding investors. Many of them bet on start-ups to diversify investments, but also because employment is generated at home”, emphasize Alsinella and Serle.
Among the projects presented yesterday in Girona is Let’s Cook, a platform that proposes healthy recipes with local products with weekly plans; Swanty, which develops solutions based on the analysis of sweat through smart patches and which aims to end the dehydration of athletes: SushineOxygen, which has three projects that combine cutting-edge technology with Artificial Intelligence to be able to have an early diagnosis and precision and personalized medicine; Berrly, a software that allows organizations and associations to manage their partners; Memima, a platform and app that uses a method to improve communication, language and learning in young children; and Oh my dog!, a marketplace to digitize and make the dog buying and adoption sector more transparent.
