On Sunday (September 8), Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) said this information.

Earlier, the company sent a letter in this regard to the Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Saturday (September 7). The same letter has been sent to the Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

There is no other option but to stop at this moment. Because the company is 100% export oriented and transactions are done through banks. But the company’s bank account has been seized. Still, the company has been trying hard to continue production since last June even after the bank account was frozen by the authorities. But when the company’s bank account is opened, production will start, which will be communicated to everyone.

The letter also mentions that on June 25, Bangladesh Bank’s Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank account of SK Trims. After that, Bangladesh Bank lifted the freeze on July 10 when it requested to talk about the interests of export-oriented, workers and investors. However, on July 11, Metropolitan Judge and BFIU froze 9 bank accounts on the recommendation of ACC. Bank accounts have been frozen on the news that the company is owned by former NBR official Matiur Rahman. However, Motiur Rahman and his family are not on the board and do not have direct ownership in the company. However, Matiur Rahman’s son and daughter in SK Trims are shareholders of Global Max Packaging Industries and Global Suze. Both of which are owned by SK Trims. Production will resume only after the company’s bank account seizure order is lifted.
