Yesterday, a skier in Obertauern was resuscitated for almost an hour after he suddenly got stuck near the Zehnerkarbahn valley station, simply fell over and lay unconscious. The 82-year-old was flown to the Salzburg State Hospital in an emergency helicopter.

Fearful moments at the Zehnerkarbahn valley station in Obertauern (Pongau/Lungau): As the Salzburg police announced, several people observed how an 82-year-old German suddenly got stuck, fell over and remained unconscious on the ski slope on Friday afternoon.

Flight to the hospital after resuscitation in Obertauern

The people present immediately initiated resuscitation measures and alerted the emergency services, according to the executive. When the police arrived – shortly before 4 p.m. – resuscitation was in full swing and the emergency medical helicopter “Martin 1” was already on site.

The resuscitation, which lasted almost 50 minutes, was ultimately successful. The 82-year-old German was taken by helicopter to the intensive care unit at the Salzburg State Hospital.
