An 18-year-old German skier was seriously injured when he fell into a stream bed on Thursday morning in the Tyrolean ski area of ​​Kaltenbach (Schwaz district). According to police reports, the young person went over the edge of the piste at high speed when entering another piste. He fell twenty feet. The first aid and rescue of the seriously injured turned out to be difficult.

According to the police, the piste rescue service had to build a platform with shovels and wooden boards in order to be able to treat the injured person. The emergency doctor who called the rescue helicopter treated the 18-year-old, who, according to the emergency services, was wearing a helmet. The seriously injured man was rescued with a rope and then taken to the Innsbruck clinic. The teenager had been traveling with a group of schoolchildren, and his companions informed the rescue services.
