Skin Cancer Awareness – Australians who campaigned in a natural way on the beach

Sydney:

Australia has one of the worst skin cancer rates in the world. According to the World Cancer Research Institute, thousands of people are diagnosed with skin cancer there every year.

Skin Cancer Awareness Week has been observed in Australia for the past one week to raise awareness about skin cancer, as doctors say that people exposed to the sun’s rays in the morning and evening are less likely to get skin cancer.

As part of that, an awareness photo shoot was held at Bondi Beach in Sydney yesterday. About 2,500 volunteers, both men and women, participated in this. Stripping off their clothes at sunrise on the beach, they stood naked and lay on the beach, raising awareness of the sun’s rays on their skin.

Only a part of the beach was temporarily declared as a nudist beach for this event. Famous photographer Spencer Tunik captured this from different angles.

Speaking about it, event organizer Scott Max said, “We hope this artwork will attract people’s attention and save our people from cancer.” Because we want no one to die of cancer, he said.
