Skydiver Found Dead in Front Yard of Florida Residence

Titusville, FL – Authorities are currently investigating the death of a skydiver who was found dead in the front yard of a residence near an airpark in Florida. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, and detectives are trying to determine the cause of death.

According to police, a man dressed in parachute attire and gear was discovered around 12:30 p.m. on the lawn of a home in Titusville, a town located about 50 miles east of Orlando. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Titusville Fire Department.

Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home captured the skydiver’s descent, showing the individual making a hard landing on the lawn. The footage also revealed the reflection of an SUV window during the descent.

James Sconiers, the homeowner, rushed to help the skydiver but received no response. “I was asking the person that was laying on the ground, ‘Hey man, can you hear me, can you hear me?’ But he did not answer,” Sconiers told CBS affiliate WKMG. Sconiers expressed concern over the incident, questioning why a hard landing occurred despite safety measures being in place.

A witness, Nicole Lacount, who works in the medical field, described the scene as the worst she has ever seen. “I work in the medical field. That’s the worst I’ve ever seen,” she said.

The Skydive Space Center, located a few blocks away, has not made any comments regarding whether the parachutist came from their company.

Authorities have stated that more information, including the victim’s name, will be released on Monday.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and detectives are looking into all possible factors that may have contributed to the skydiver’s death.
