Thursday’s accident on the I/7 near Slané in Kladensk has two victims, in addition to the driver, a female passenger also died. Their car was in the opposite direction, where it collided head-on with a truck. Kladno police officers are investigating why the car went into the opposite lane and other circumstances of the accident, police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová informed ČTK on Friday.
The clash took place before 1:00 p.m. in the cadastre of the village of Tuřany u Slaného. The driver of the passenger car died on the spot, according to Monika Nováková, the spokesperson of the Central Bohemian Rescue Service, the rescuers put her to artificial sleep after securing her on the spot, and the helicopter transported her to the Central Military Hospital in Prague.
“The female passenger succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital,” Richterová told CTK on Friday.
The road was completely closed for about three hours for the investigation and cleanup of the accident. The truck driver was not injured.
