Currency Market Update: US Dollar Strengthens Against Iraqi Dinar

The US dollar slightly strengthened against the Iraqi dinar today in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. This movement followed the opening of the stock exchanges.
Agency correspondents reported that the dollar prices rose alongside the opening of the two main stock exchanges, Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya, in Baghdad. The exchange rate settled at 152,200 Iraqi dinars for every 100 dollars, slightly higher than the 152,000 Iraqi dinars recorded the previous day.
Local exchange shops in Baghdad also saw an increase in dollar prices. The selling price reached 153,250 Iraqi dinars, while the purchase price was 151,250 Iraqi dinars for every 100 dollars. Similar trends were observed in Erbil, where the selling price reached 151,800 dinars and the buying price was 151,700 dinars for 100 dollars.
