True horror genre fans cannot fail to know Keiichiro Toyama, father of the Silent Hill saga, Forbiden Siren and Gravity Rush. As is well known, in 2020 the author left Japan Studio to form his new development house, Bokeh Game Studio, which immediately announced that it was working on an action-adventure with horror elements called SlitterHeadthus returning in part to that genre that made the creative’s fortune so much at the beginning of his career.

After a relatively silent period, the software house has revealed, to everyone’s surprise, the official release date, set for next November 8 on PC and consoles. In recent hours, however, the game has returned to the limelight again, thanks to a new video dedicated to the story, useful for understanding some of the mechanics created by Toyama and company.

Slitterhead is set on the streets of Kowlong and will put the player in the shoes of the supernatural entity Hyoki, whose sole objective is to eliminate monstrous creatures called Skullbreakers. To complete the mission, the protagonist will have to find allies among special humans known as “Unicum” in order to hunt down these monsters.
