LE SCAN SPORT – Slovak Dominik Cerny proposed to his girlfriend Hanka Burzalova at the finish line of the race.
Hanka Burzalova had a nice surprise after crossing the finish line. The Slovak received a marriage proposal from Dominik Cerny (another Slovak athlete) who had just finished his race during the 35 km running race at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The latter waited for him on his knees before she said yes.
The race was won by Alvaro Martin for the men in 2h 24 min 30 sec, a Spanish record, and for the women by another Spaniard, Maria Perez in 2h 38 min 40 sec, a championship record.
