Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was assassinated on May 15, has returned to work. This was reported by Slovak Television, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
Fico visited the agricultural association Agro Voderady in the village of Slovenska Nova Ves in the Trnava region in western Slovakia. The Prime Minister inspected the harvest and noted that in 2024 it will be smaller than in previous years.
“Climate change should be perceived as an established reality. This is proven by the earlier start of harvesting in the republic,” Fico said. “The head of government should also deal with issues related to filling the elevators [пшеницей]”.
Fico took part in a public event for the first time last Friday. It was timed to coincide with the republic’s national holiday, Saints Cyril and Methodius Day. He gave a short speech in Devin, a suburb of Bratislava.
