Wissam Ben Yedar celebrates (Reuters)
Two huge performances in the 19th round of the French league. Jonathan David and his friends can get back to smiling after defeating Troyes 1:5 and moving up to fifth place. Monaco also showed their nerves and dismantled Ajax 1:7, thanks to a huge hat trick by Wissam Ben Yedder, who sealed the result of the game even before the whistle for the first half.
Monaco – Ajax 1:7
As mentioned, only one half was enough for the team from the principalities to defeat Ajaccio, who dropped to 18th place in the league. Axel Disassi scored the first after just two minutes and Carpin Dieta easily doubled the lead four minutes later. Yosef Bilali Zimek, and after only 11 minutes the result was 1:2 for Monaco. At that point, Wissam Ben Yeder woke up, and within 14 minutes completed a hat trick (21′, 28′ and 35′). Brill Embolo was honored with the last two goals of the game, scoring his first in the 63rd minute, and completing a brace in the 89th minute.

The hosts did not take their foot off the gas but took time to find the second goal, so Jonathan David sent the Reds into the dressing rooms with a double lead with a goal in first half time.
In the second half, it took only two minutes for Jonathan David and his friends to find the net in the third, this time from the feet of Bayo who completed a double in the 47th minute. Although Mama Balda gave hope to the guest with a goal in the 65th minute, Alan Virginius (75th) and another goal by Jonathan David in the 88th minute sealed a crushing 1:5 in favor of the group from the north of France.
Reims – Nice 0:0
After defeating Montpellier 1:6 in the last round, Nice went to an away game against Reims, which has the same number of points in the table. At the end of a balanced game, the teams parted with a zero draw, maintaining the status quo and remaining in 10th and 11th place in the table.
