SanDisk has introduced the world’s first 4TB Extreme PRO SDUC SD card.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, the card will be available for purchase only in 2025, the Neowin portal reports.
The new product uses the new SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) standard, which allows you to create memory cards with a capacity of up to 128 TB. Thanks to the UHS-I interface, it provides high data transfer speeds.
The price of the high-capacity SD card is not yet known, but it will likely be high due to its capacity and performance. The new product will go on sale only in 2025. The manufacturer doesn’t reveal details about the specifications, but claims that its data transfer speed is 4.4 times faster than Western Digital’s fastest UHS-I SD card.
SanDisk believes that such an SD card will be suitable for professionals working with photos and videos, as well as for users who want to expand the memory of their laptop.
In addition, SanDisk is preparing to release several more new SD cards, including SanDisk SD Express and microSD Express 128 GB and 256 GB models, as well as SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC 2 TB and Extreme PRO microSDXC 2 TB.
