The idea sounded as simple as it was exciting: little Tim challenged rap superstar Jan Delay in a hip-hop duel at “Small vs. Big”. The task: A band – supported by Germany’s ESC hit hopeful Marie Reim and cuddly singer Gregor Meyle – should sing well-known rap songs in ballad form. However, they are accompanied by a completely different melody. The two competitors now had the task of naming the correct song and artist.
It sounds quite simple at first, but it wasn’t. While both Tim and Jan were able to solve their first “small versus big” tasks confidently, Jan Delay got into serious trouble with his second song. Set to the Taylor Swift song “Shake it off,” he didn’t realize that it was “Lila Wolken” by Marteria, Yasha and Miss Platnum that Marie Reim was singing.
