jpnn.comJAKARTA – Alumni of SMAN 8 Jakarta or Alumni Smandel will host a tournament between Jakarta and Bandung State High Schools, namely Alusmanis (Alumni of State High Schools Tennis). The tournament will be held at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, August 24-25, 2024.
This tournament is the third time held in the last 3 years. Previously in 2022 it was held at the TNI Headquarters in Jakarta by SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta and in 2023 it was held at the Siliwangi Military Command by SMA Negeri 3 Bandung.
According to the Chairman of the Smandel Tennis Club (ASTC) Alumni Smandel Yuswanto Priyo, the third tournament in 2024 was hosted by SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta and was chosen in August because it coincided with the 66th anniversary of SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta.
Alusmanis is a tennis enthusiast community organization between Jakarta and Bandung State High Schools whose members consist of several favorite State High Schools in Jakarta, namely State High School 3, State High School 6, State High School 8 and State High School 70 and several favorite State High Schools in Bandung, namely State High School 2, State High School 3, State High School 4 and State High School 5.
This year, SMA Negeri 5 Bandung was unable to attend and was replaced by SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta with the status of an invited team.
According to the Chairman of the Alusmanis 3 Tournament Committee, Erry Erawan Priolaksono. The Alusmanis 3 Tournament will compete in 5 categories, namely Men’s Doubles Free, Men’s Doubles 45 years and above, Men’s Doubles 55 years and above, Women’s Doubles Free and Mixed Doubles with Men’s players at least 40 years old and women’s players free.
For former Porda or former Pon players, only those aged 60 years and above are permitted to participate, this is to maintain a balanced level of play without reducing the quality of the game.
