He said these things at the event entitled Smart Lighting – The Foundation of Future Smart Chittagong organized by Chittagong City Corporation at Radisson Blu in the city on the occasion of signing the agreement to install LED electric lights at a cost of Tk 260 crore 89 lakh 87 thousand with the help of India to light up the port city of Chittagong on Saturday (July 7). said

Tajul Islam said that effective and sustainable road lighting facilities for traffic and pedestrians can be ensured by using environment-friendly technology. Night city beauty, business facilities and social security will increase. At the same time, carbon emissions will be reduced. Besides, the use of environment-friendly technology related to energy absorption will ensure the convenience of street lighting for traffic and pedestrians. Besides, it will be possible to control street lights in smart management system.

Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Bir Muktijoddha said in the speech of the president. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, through this project, 460 kilometers of roads are going to be illuminated which is environmentally friendly, energy efficient, sustainable and centrally controllable.

In the speech of the special guest, Secretary of Local Government Department Abu Hena Morshed Zaman wished the project success.
