New Delhi: India’s market for wearable devices, including smartwatches, has grown by 56 per cent in the September quarter.

In the quarter ended last September, a total of 3.72 crore wearable devices were sold in the Indian market. This is a 56 percent increase compared to the same quarter last year.

In this regard, ITC, an analytical company, has also stated that:

In the September quarter, sales in the smartwatch segment alone grew by 178.8 percent. 1.20 crore watches were sold in this quarter.

‘Bot’ is the best selling brand in the overall wearable category. Its market value is 32.1 percent.

In the first nine months of the current year alone, ‘smart watches, wrist bands and earphones’ have been sold to the tune of nearly 7.5 crore rupees.

The festive season and the discounts offered on the occasion helped boost the sales of wearable devices.
