jpnn.comJAKARTA – Telecommunications operator PT Smart Telecom (Smartfren) has spoken out about the hacking case of the top-up server for certain numbers.

Smartfren claims to have succeeded in overcoming the hacking attempt.

Smartfren President Director Merza Fachys said the Network Operations Center (NOC) Team detected the server hacking attempt early, so they could deal with it quickly.

“Customers do not need to worry because all customer data is guaranteed to be safe,” said Merza Fachys in a company press release in Jakarta, Friday (30).

He said the Smartfren NOC Team is active 24 hours a day to monitor and resolve network issues.

When they find a problem or potential problem in the network, the team immediately isolates it and applies the best solution to resolve it in less than an hour.

The attempted hacking to top up credit worth Rp 350 million has been largely thwarted by the Smartfren team so that the company’s losses can be minimized.

“Smartfren always ensures that its operations comply with strict security standards, in addition to the NOC team that specifically maintains network security, we have also implemented the ISO 27001:2023 standard. It is our commitment to always maintain and continue to improve security standards,” said Merza.
