Steve Harwell, lead singer of Smash Mouth, has died at the age of 56. The rock band’s longtime frontman, who was one of the original founding members in 1994, died Monday, Sept. 4, at his home in Boise, Idaho, of liver failure, his manager told TMZ. .

Harwell had been in a retirement home and given just a few days to live this past weekend as he was battling his battle with alcohol abuse, among other ailments. His band achieved fame in the late 90s and early 2000s, thanks to their album «Astro Lounge´ which contained some of the most famous songs of the band, such as «All Star».
