On that occasion, Aon explained how two CVs affiliated with him could collaborate as PT partners. Tin, in carrying out tin smelting activities from community mining.

Aon also denied that this was the result of the proximity factor.

“That in 2018-2022 CV VIP had a cooperation contract with PT. Timah. During that period CV VIP purchased tin sand from WIUP PT. Timah,” said Aon in the trial, quoted by JPNN.con, Tuesday (1/10).

He explained his willingness to collaborate with PT. Tin was an effort to help the government which at that time was pushing the national tin productivity level.

Apart from that, he also explained that his party was willing to buy tin sand from people’s mines, because it was to help people’s miners who made tin mining their livelihood.

“The witness explained that community mining is the livelihood of the people of Bangka Belitung. With the disclosure of this case, the economy of Bangka Belitung has suffered greatly, making its economic figures lower than all provinces in Indonesia,” said Aon.

He also explained about handing over CSR funds to Harvey Moeis through Helena’s money changer company.
