Tirupur: Passengers of four districts are happy as Coimbatore – Salem ‘MEMU’ passenger train service has resumed from today.
Coimbatore – Salem MEMU Passenger (06802) train operation, which was stopped due to Corona lockdown, was started on 11th after two and a half years. Passengers were happy as the train ran for a long time. However, since the next day, on the 12th, due to the engineering development work between Kaveri-Anankur, only the train was operated from Coimbatore to Erode till yesterday.
After the completion of the works, the train movement will be normal from today. Now, you can travel from Coimbatore to Salem at a fare of 35 rupees and from Tirupur to Salem at a fare of 25 rupees. Due to this, the passengers of four districts are happy.
