Arrival Notifications offer a simple,automated way to share your location with a select group,providing peace of mind for both you and your loved ones.

Automatically notify close friends when you reach specific locations like home, school, or a hotel.

  • Arrival Notifications automatically alert chosen friends when you reach pre-selected locations.
  • You can save up to ten places for these notifications.
  • Notification settings can be set for a single instance or for every arrival.
  • Friends can also opt out of receiving these location updates.

Teh feature works by allowing you to designate specific locations – your home, a friendS house, the airport – and then share arrival notifications with individuals you choose. When you arrive at one of these spots, your friend receives a push notification and a message within your chat, instantly opening a conversation.

Adding a Location for Arrival Notifications

  1. Open a Chat with your friend.
  2. Tap the Map icon in the chat to open the location tray.
  3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications’, tap ‘Add’.
  4. Move the map to set the spot, then tap ‘Set Location’.

You can personalize each location with a name and emoji for easy identification.

Removing a Location

To stop receiving notifications for a specific place, simply press and hold on the Place and delete it. This action removes alerts for that location for all your friends.

How Many Places Can You Track?

You can save up to ten places to receive Arrival Notifications. Your saved list is consistent across all your friends,but you maintain control over who receives notifications when you arrive at each location.

Sending Notifications to a Friend

  1. Open a Chat with your friend.
  2. Tap the Map icon in the chat to open the location tray.
  3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications,’ toggle a place on.
  4. Choose ‘One time’ or ‘Every time’.

Selecting ‘One time’ will send a single notification that expires after 24 hours. ‘Every time’ keeps the notifications active until you manually disable them.

Stopping Notifications

  1. Open a Chat with your friend.
  2. Tap the Map icon in the chat to open the location tray.
  3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications,’ toggle a place off.
Did you know? If you stop sharing your location with a friend,including using Ghost Mode,Arrival Notifications will automatically turn off.

Your friends also have the ability to manage their notification preferences. They can choose to stop receiving these updates from you at any time.

Managing Notifications Received From Friends

  1. Open a Chat with your friend.
  2. Press on the blue linked text in your Chat that identifies the location.
  3. Tap the three dots for a menu and choose ‘Stop receiving notification’.
