To As summer and holidays approach, the SNCF is setting up online payment by vacation check. Saving time for users who previously had to go to stations and pay at the counter.
This is a measure that should make life easier for many SNCF consumers: online payment with holiday vouchers will now be possible. Many people are looking forward to the approach of their summer stay. “It’s going to be a time saver and a travel saver”, says a user. Some constraints exist however, such as creating an account on the application and then dematerializing its holiday vouchers to be able to pay online. 4.5 million French people regularly use this means of payment.
After estimating that one trip out of two is at least partially financed by vacation check over the summer period, the company concluded that it was a good decision to facilitate the task to its customers. Payment by this means can be made for the TGV, the TER or the intercités as well as for the trains to Switzerland, Italy or Germany.
