As of November 29, in some regions of Azerbaijan, the depth of snow cover reached 20 cm.
Day.Az reports this with reference to the national Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
The snow cover in Shahbuz reached 20 cm,in Zagatala (Alibey) – 18 cm,in Gryz – 17 cm,in Shahdag – 12 cm.Altyagadzh recorded 10 cm of snow, Khinalig – 9 cm, Laza and Khaltan - 5 cm each, and in Gedabee fell 2 cm.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 28 mm of precipitation fell, which is 50-115% of the norm for the month. 10 mm was recorded in Agdam, 5 mm in Fuzuli and Gusar, and 4 mm in Shusha and Altiagaj. In Khachmaz, Khaltan, sheki, Nakhchivan, Shamkir, Gakh, Oguz, Gobustan, Imishli, Sabirabad, Shabran, Kelbajar, Zangilan and Jafarkhan, the volume of precipitation did not exceed 3 mm.
Under a yellow weather warning, strong wind gusts were observed in some areas. The speed of the northwest wind in baku and the Absheron Peninsula was up to 16 m/s, in Dashkesan – 20 m/s, in Gobustan and Mingachevir – 18 m/s, and in Lerik – 16 m/s.
According to the Neftyanye Kamni station, the maximum wave height in the open sea reached 3 m.
Fog was recorded in Sumgayit,Guba,Gryz,Sheki,Altiagaj and Lerik,limiting visibility to 200 meters.
Temperatures varied: in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula the minimum temperature reached 7 degrees Celsius, in low-lying areas – 5 degrees.In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the minimum temperature was 6 degrees Celsius, in the mountains – 2 degrees below zero, and in high mountainous areas – up to 9 degrees below zero.
