On Saturday afternoon, Södermanland County and Stockholm County are expected to receive approximately five centimeters of fresh snow, causing traffic disruptions in various areas. According to Magnus Jansson, the police press spokesperson for the central region, there have been approximately 12-14 accidents reported in just ten minutes in Uppsala County and Västmanland due to extremely bad road conditions. A tourist bus with around thirty passengers has overturned in Rasbo, causing minor injuries but no reports of serious injuries. The yellow weather warning is effective until 20:00 on Saturday in the Stockholm area, and the snowfall may cause delays in bus, train, and air traffic. SMHI’s warning system designates yellow as the lowest level of weather warning.

In total, there may be about five centimeters of fresh snow on Saturday afternoon in Södermanland County and Stockholm County.

There are disruptions to traffic in several places.

In Uppsala County and Västmanland, the police have received reports of 12-14 accidents in just ten minutes, says Magnus Jansson, who is the press spokesperson for the police in the central region.

– The road conditions are extremely bad right now. There are an incredible number of accidents, he says.

In Rasbo, just north of Uppsala, what is believed to be a tourist bus with around thirty passengers has overturned.

– The bus has driven off the road completely. The passengers will reportedly have difficulty getting out, says Magnus Jansson.

Several people are said to have sustained minor injuries. There is no indication that anyone was seriously injured.

The yellow weather warning applies in the Stockholm area until 20:00 on Saturday.

The snowfall risks leading to delays in bus, train and air traffic.

Yellow is the lowest weather warning in SMHI’s warning system.
