Minister Shivashankar has announced that 2500 special buses will be operated on the occasion of Vijayadashami and Ayudha Puja.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on Sunday, Ayudha Puja on Tuesday and Vijayadashami on Wednesday. This will be a government holiday for three consecutive days. And only October 3rd is a working day. So the government declared the 3rd as a holiday. As a result, all government employees, teachers, public sector employees get 5 consecutive days of leave. Also, from 1st to 10th, quarterly vacation has been given to government school students. After this, holidays have been given to colleges.

Minister Sivashankar announced that 2500 special buses will be operated in addition to the number of people going to their hometowns from Chennai. In addition to the 2,100 buses that are operated daily, special buses are being operated so that the public can travel without congestion. In this case, special buses are operated from three places – Koyambedu, Thambaram and Panimalai in Poontamalli bypass. These buses have been started from this evening. Also, buses are also operated from here to southern districts including Nellai, Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thenkasi, Kanyakumari, Madurai.
