TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak testified as a witness at the main investigation department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow in the case of an accident in Sochi, in which one person died. In her Telegram channel, she said that the interrogation lasted about three hours. At the same time, a RIA Novosti source reports that Ms Sobchak was interrogated for about an hour.
“Almost three hours of questions that have nothing at all to do with what witnesses are usually asked about,” Ms Sobchak wrote.
According to TASS, the TV presenter, after giving testimony, got into a black minibus and left, accompanied by a jeep.
An accident in the Krasnodar Territory occurred on the evening of October 9. A rented Mercedes-Maybach with Ksenia Sobchak among its passengers collided with a Volkswagen while trying to overtake. A Volkswagen passenger was killed, the driver and another woman in the cabin were seriously injured. Ksenia Sobchak announced her readiness to help the relatives of the deceased and injured in the accident.
After the accident, Ms. Sobchak wrote on social networks that she, presumably, had a concussion and other injuries. Nevertheless, she did not apply to medical institutions in Sochi, but immediately flew to Moscow.
The driver of the Mercedes-Maybach, Oleg Tsoi, was placed under house arrest and accused of violating traffic rules that resulted in the death of a person (part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
