Soccer player Pelayo Novo dies after being hit by a train

The former soccer player New Pelayo32 years old, has died hit by a train in La Corredoria, in Oviedo.

The young man was forced to leave professional football after a fall he suffered in March 2018 when he was in a hotel concentrated with his team at that time, Albacete, to play a game against Huesca. Months later, in October of that year, he announced that he was retiring.

From the Real Oviedo soccer team, which was the first team of Novo, they have communicated the sad news. “With a broken heart. We deeply regret the death of Pelayo Novo, captain of our Foundation. Family, friends: we are with you. Rest in peace Pelayo”, they have written from the official profile.
