His disability led Nathaniel to act for many years on behalf of people with disabilities and for the benefit of public transportation accessibility for them. Among other things, he was active in many organizations, including “Beit HaGalits Herzliya”, “Simcha Lied”, “Link 20” and more. He even fought to volunteer in the IDF and served for three years.

In the association “Link 20” which works to promote equality, diversity and the rights of people with disabilities, they paid tribute to Nathaniel on their Facebook page and wrote that he was “one of the pillars and founders of ‘Link 20’. Responsible for the spirit, color and values. In every element of the activity you can see parts of him. Ability To meet the most complex parts with humor, by firmly standing for the rights, by living proof that everything is possible.

“Nathanel was a person who left a memory in the hearts of everyone who met him. For a joke he told, for doing things together or simply for an interesting conversation. Nathanel was and will remain a guide for all of us, in his character as a leader, in choosing to take responsibility for the reality and life in our country and acting together and not alone. We are saddened by his passing before And sending love to his family. May his memory be blessed.”

At the Beit Ha’Gelets they also paid tribute to him and wrote: “Nathaniel was a very central figure in the group, both for the campers and the instructors. We will always remember his sense of humor, optimism, sense of justice for others, and most of all: his huge heart that died yesterday. “.

The “Simcha Lied” association added: “Nathanel was a central part of the Simcha Lied family from the day it was founded. Nathaniel was a trainee, volunteer, friend, source of inspiration and mentor for many of us. His untimely passing is extremely painful and his loss is already felt.”

The late Nathaniel’s father, Yehuda, said today in a voice choked with tears that “Nathaniel was our light, the light of the house. A man with a lot of joie de vivre and a sense of humor, with a head on his shoulders, completed 12 years of school and a full matriculation, and volunteered in the IDF for three years after many struggles for that. There is not one bad thing anyone can say about him.”

His partner for the past nine months, Tamar, told with great sadness: “From the first moment he made me laugh terribly and brought joy into my life. Nathaniel was the strongest person I knew and always gave the feeling that everything was possible and small about him. It was impossible not to trust him and believe every word he said. He was The man with the best eyes and always saw the good in people.”

When was the last time you spoke?

“Before they put him to sleep. He was very afraid and said ‘it’s not my time yet.’ His friends, and this is reflected in all social activities.”

Nathaniel’s funeral will be held today at 15:00 at the city cemetery.
