Social media activist and university student Thisara Anuruddha Bandara has been arrested and is being held at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Mukattuwaram police station.
Police said he was arrested under Section 120 of the Penal Code.
The youth in question is from Gampola-Etkala area.
Police said he would be produced before the Colombo 6th Magistrate’s Court.
