One more line on payslips. From July, “the net social amount” will appear on your payslips. This information will also appear on benefit statements such as unemployment insurance, disability pension or even daily sickness benefits from 2024.

“The net social amount is the net income after deduction of all compulsory social contributions and as such constitutes a common reference for all employees regardless of their status, branch or company”, indicates the Ministry of Labor website.

This amount corresponds to net income after deduction of all mandatory social contributions. In detail, it refers to “all gross sums, corresponding to remuneration and replacement income paid by employers to their employees (salaries, bonuses, overtime pay, benefits in kind, severance pay, etc. ), minus the contributions and social security contributions applicable to them”.

The display of this amount simplifies the procedures for recipients who will no longer have to perform any calculations but simply declare the net social amounts that will have been transmitted to them. It therefore constitutes the reference income to be declared in order to benefit from certain social benefits such as the activity bonus or the RSA.

If employees will no longer have to make any calculations, from 2024, employers will have to declare the “net social amount” of their employees to administrations such as the CAF, as is already the case for the ” net taxable amount. The Ministry of Labor specifies that “beneficiaries will therefore be able to go to mesdroitssociaux.fr to consult the total amount of their social net income”.
