The social network X (formerly Twitter) informed the STF (Supreme Federal Court) that the profiles blocked by order of the minister Alexandre de Moraes are trying to bypass blocking orders and platform rules. The alert was sent in a statement by the law firm that represents X in Brazil, in response to a request for clarification made by Moraes regarding a report from Federal police. According to the platform, users are managing to circumvent blocking and security measures, including journalist Allan dos Santos. The platform stated that access to the accounts of other people being investigated was the result of technical failures and does not constitute non-compliance with the Supreme Court’s orders.

In the Federal Police report, posts and transmissions made by users investigated in the investigation into digital militias residing in the United States were mentioned. The PF found that those under investigation continue to broadcast and post outside Brazil, attacking the minister and disseminating false information. The social network X highlighted that users are disrespecting the STF’s determinations by being able to access their accounts even though they are blocked. The law firm that represents the platform in Brazil highlighted the seriousness of the situation and the need for more effective measures to curb such practices.
