Social Security budget: Élisabeth Borne triggers a new 49.3 on the expenditure part

Élisabeth Borne once again took responsibility for her government on Monday evening, on the expenditure side and on the entire draft Social Security budget for 2024, just a few hours after the failure of two motions of censure on the revenue section.

“Despite our desire for dialogue, no opposition group has wanted to deviate from its line: refusing to vote on a budget, whatever it may be,” lamented the Prime Minister during a short statement from the podium of the ‘Assembly. This is his fourth 49.3 since the resumption of parliamentary work in September and the 15th since his arrival in Matignon.
