jpnn.comSELAYAR – The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) provided assistance worth IDR 5.82 billion for the Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi (Sulsel).
The assistance was symbolically handed over directly by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Supomo, to the beneficiaries who attended the Social Service activity at the Dekranasda Building, Selayar Islands Regency on Monday (9/9).
“The Ministry of Social Affairs provides assistance with a total value of Rp 5.82 billion for the Selayar Islands Regency,” said Director General Supomo during a dialogue with 750 beneficiaries present at the event location.
Supomo further said that the Ministry of Social Affairs team had been deployed to the Selayar Islands since July 2024 to conduct in-depth data collection and assessment.
This is done to ensure that the assistance provided is truly on target.
“The assistance provided is not just given as is, but there is also assistance from our team,” added Supomo.
He said the purpose of the assistance was not only the physical assistance that was provided, but also the process of continuing the assistance in the future through the assistance process.
On that occasion, around 750 beneficiaries attended the Community Service activity.
