Notables, experts, civil society activists, and representatives of the Western Region gathered to listen to the Commander of the Western Coast Military Region, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, this afternoon, Saturday, 1/4/2025, in the Goudaim Forest, during which he announced the launch of the military force.
Lieutenant General Al-Namroush stressed, “the continuation of military operations to combat the dens of corruption and crime in all regions and cities of the West Coast, under direct instructions from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, in response to the call of the people of the city of Zawiya.”
Al-Namroush also denied “the existence of any political goals behind these military operations, stressing that they aim to maintain security and stability in the region.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees expressed their “full support for the continuation of military operations, stressing their pivotal role in protecting the homeland and citizens.”
The West Coast Military District Administration said: “Your brave soldiers continue to carry out their national tasks, to impose security and safety in Al-Zawiya, and we will not relent or back down in striking the dens of darkness.”
