Sofia Raffaeli Qualifies for Rhythmic Gymnastics Final at Paris 2024
Sofia Raffaeli secured first place in the individual all-around rhythmic gymnastics competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics, earning her a spot in the final. The Italian gymnast scored 139.100 points, leading by 2.250 over Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev and 2.650 over Bulgaria’s Boryana Kaleyn. Another Italian, Milena Baldassarri, finished in ninth place with 129.250 points.
The final will take place on Friday.
After her performance, Raffaeli expressed satisfaction, stating, “It’s a wonderful feeling to be in the lead. I’m trying not to get too emotional, but tomorrow will be the real competition.” She added, “I didn’t expect to reach such a high score because there are so many great competitors here. In these challenges, mindset is essential, so we are working hard to execute all the routines well.”
