Last summer came the shock news that the star couple Sofia Vergara (51) and Joe Manganiello (47) had gone their separate ways after seven years of marriage. When the news first broke, it was not known why the couple had called it quits.

Now Vergara reveals why the marriage didn’t last.
– I just divorced my second husband, who I was with for ten years. My marriage ended because my husband was younger, she says in an interview with El País, reproduced by, among others ET Online.
Furthermore, the “Modern Family” star says that Manganiello wanted more children, but that she did not want to be an old mother.

– I don’t think it’s fair to the baby. I respect those who do it, but it’s not for me anymore, she continues.
Vergara, who is now 51, had a son when she was 19 years old. He is currently 32 years old.
Found each other after the children’s death
– And I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother, she says, adding that if she were to meet someone new, he must have children of his own.
– I’m almost in menopause, it’s the course of nature. When my son becomes a father, let him come over with the baby to me for a while so I can give it back and get on with my life. That’s what I’m going to do.

The star couple was married from 2015 to 2023.
Vergara has previously also been married for two years to Joe Gonzalez, with whom she has a son Manolo.
