Enchanted by her beauty, the demons asked Mohini to serve everyone. The gods also agreed. The issue arose as to who should be given amrita first. It was decided to give the clear water above to the gods and the turbid liquid below to the Asuras. Amrita was first offered to the gods.
Suvarbanu who became Deva: Suvarbhanu, son of Kasyapa Maharishi, also suspected some conspiracy in Mohini’s visit and sharing of amrita. Fearing that he might not get the nectar, Anji sat in a row of gods in a different guise. The sun and the moon saw this. By this time Mohini had given nectar to Swarbanu. He also gulped hastily. Suarbanu came in disguise and gave nectar to Lord Vishnu knowing what he was doing. That too for a reason.
Chopped Soorbaan: Unaware of this, Surya and Chandra immediately went to Mohini to tell what had happened, but Lord Vishnu angrily hit Swarbhanu on the head with the bag in his hand. Life did not go away due to the amrita being divided into two parts, the head and the body. Mohini says that she cannot give amrita to Asuras as they have broken the contract.
Asuras tried to steal the amrita kalas, Mohini quickly gave everything to the gods. Disappointed, the asuras ostracized Suvarbhanu from their clan, regretting that it was Suvarbhanu who got them amrita.
Snake Head Human Body : Swarbanu, who lay in two bodies but without a body but without a head, and without a head without a body, appealed to Brahman. Only Maha Vishnu can make an alternative arrangement for this’ said Brahman. Suvarbanu worshiped Vishnu and asked him to do penance. Vishnu immediately gave the snake body and attached it to the head. He also attached the head of a snake to a human body. The one with human head and snake body was called Rahu and the one with snake head and human body was called Ketu. But life is the same for both. He blessed them by telling them to travel in opposite directions in the star system.
How to get rid of sin: After the formation of Rahu Ketu, Maha Vishnu begins the Christian era. Now you have no job, you should have one more age to roam the star system. In the next Yuga, Tredayut, I will be born into humanity as Rama. Then by your power you will come to me as Rahu Gotandham and Ketu Amba. You will be used to kill Ravana, the last king of demons. He said then your sin will be removed. Raman vowed that you would move from right to left in the sky in an instant unlike other planets so that you could see the difference.
