On the 23rd, we visited Gyeongdongwon, an infant care facility located in Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and spent special time with the children and held a warm Christmas event. In addition, they practiced sharing by delivering donations for the welfare of children.
As a 12-year Santa, Solbi led the event with her unique cheerful and bright appearance, making the children smile. Typhoon member Woojae, guest member Song Won-seop, actor Song Yi-woo, and actor Jeong Se-in also participated and had a fun and meaningful time by singing Christmas carols and playing quiz games with the children.
Solbi and Kyungdongwon’s relationship dates back to 2013. For the 12th year in a row, at the end of the year, we visit the children without fail and prepare and deliver various recreations, performances, movie screenings, gifts, etc., making eye contact and communicating with the children.
This year, as usual, Solbi personally brought gifts for the children. They conveyed their warm hearts by bringing dolls, toys, cosmetics, etc. sponsored by various companies.
In the meantime, Solbi has continued to share and volunteer. In addition to planning the ‘Find Project’ to find long-term missing children and the ‘Son Moa Project’ to improve awareness of the disabled, we also practiced sharing through art therapy projects for visually impaired children and out-of-home children. In addition, they have done heartwarming good deeds at the end of each year, such as participating in suicide prevention concerts and hope concerts for underprivileged children.
In recognition of his consistent activities, he received the Talent Donation Award at the Korea Social Contribution Awards in 2014. Solbi’s donations through Arttainer’s influence and artistic talent are creating a new culture of sharing.
Solbi said, “Every time I visit, the children recognize me and welcome me,” and “Every time I look into each child’s innocent eyes, I resolve to give harder and spread good influence.” He continued, “I hope that through my sharing activities, it will be a warm Christmas for all children.”
An official from Kyungdongwon said, “It is not easy for people to visit us every year, but we are grateful for the many donations and donations we have received. We will do our best to help the children grow up happily.”
