Soldier Lakshmanan’s body arrived at Madurai airport
Madurai: The body of Army soldier Lakshmanan, who died in an encounter at an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajelary district, arrived at the Madurai airport today.
Security forces foiled an attack by two suicide bombers on an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajelary district early on Thursday.
4 soldiers including Tamil Nadu soldier Lakshmanan lost their lives in the gunfight that took place. 2 terrorists were shot dead.
The attack was carried out as Independence Day was to be celebrated on the 15th across the country.
In this situation, the body of Lakshmanan, who died a heroic death in a fight with terrorists, arrived at Madurai Airport today by air from Jammu-Kashmir. Ministers and others paid respects to his body there.
From there, Lakshmana’s body is taken to his hometown by road.
