Solidarity action for Odessa: Regensburg collects donations for power generators – City of Regensburg

by time news

The city and Space-Eye are looking for other outlets, such as shops and bars or clubs and parishes that would like to take part in the campaign and offer donation candles for sale. If you are interested, please contact the main office of the city of Regensburg ([email protected]) or at Space Eye ([email protected]) report.

Candles can also be donated

Since the candles from the fundraising campaign are also to be delivered to Odessa as a sign of solidarity, we ask that you bring the candles with you to the central solidarity event on December 10 and hand them in at Bismarckplatz. Donation candles can also be bought on site on the day of the action. Candles can be handed in from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Until 4 p.m. there is also the possibility to make donations in kind for the next Space-Eye aid convoy.

From 11 a.m. there will be a stage program in front of the theater as part of the solidarity campaign. Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer will personally welcome the supporters of the solidarity campaign. Professor Michael Nerlich will speak for the Ukraine Aid Working Group. In addition, Oleksandr Golovchenko, as chairman, will present the Bavarian-Ukrainian cultural association “Hromada Regensburg” and Carsten Lenk from the Evangelisches Bildungswerk will provide information about the Café Ukrajina. Sabine Schönwälder reports on her trauma therapy project for the partner city of Odessa and Michael Buschheuer from Space Eye and other cooperation partners will give insights into their work and offers of help. The Danube Big Band of the municipal singing and music school and the Theater Regensburg will provide the musical framework for the event.
