The holding of a regional forum in Santos, called Santos Export – Regional Logistics, Infrastructure and Transport Forum, promoted by Brasil Export, discussed projects to solve road obstacles in access to the Port of Santos. Among the strategic projects addressed are the third route of the Imigrantes highway, a new connection between the Planalto and Baixada Santista (known as Via Verde), the tunnel between Santos and Guarujá, the Internal Railway of the Port of Santos and the connection between the Northwest and East zones through a tunnel in the hills.

The mayor of Santos, Rogério Santos, highlighted the investments made by the city in the construction of bridges and viaducts as part of the federative pact with the State and the Federal Government for the construction of the New Entrance to Santos. He also mentioned a project to build a tunnel in the central massif, in the Morro de Santos area, which would be a new entrance to the city and would speed up the flow of trucks towards the port. Governor Tarcísio de Freitas expressed interest in carrying out this work, regardless of the privatization process of the Port of Santos.

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics, Natália Resende, mentioned that the State Government has several projects under study to improve access to the region and stressed the importance of considering logistics as a macro project. These projects are being evaluated jointly with the State Secretariat for Partnerships in Investments.

The panel had the participation of several authorities, such as the director of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), Felipe Queiroz, the director of Concessions bus stations of the EcoRodovias Group, Rui Klein, the director-president of the Internal Railway of the Port of Santos (Fips), João Almeida, the director of Institutional and Regulatory Relations at VLI, Silvana Alcântara, and the president of the Union of Commercial Transport Companies of Carga do Litoral Paulista (Sindisan), André Neiva.
