“Solving the problems with aridity and water quality is a top priority for GERB. We have worked on them while we were in the administration – drinking and waste water treatment plants were built and reconstructed, thousands of kilometers of old Eternite pipes were replaced, which carried risks for the population, new water intakes and backup water sources were provided for many settlements. The water treatment plants built in Varna and Burgas ensured the purity of the waters of the Black Sea, which increased the quality of the tourist service, care was taken for biodiversity and, above all, for the health of the citizens. For the first time in 30 years, we built two new dams for drinking and household needs – “Plovdivtsi” and “Luda Yana”. We started a project to build the Danube system to solve the water problems in Ludogorie. We have created the “Bulgarian Water and Sewer Holding” with a resource of BGN 1 billion allocated to it for investments in water conveyance and sewerage systems,” Nikolay Nankov from GERB wrote on his Facebook profile.

I want to ask our critics, what have they done better in the last 4 years since GERB has not ruled? That’s exactly one mandate. Can I tell you what – zero! They did nothing. From morning to night, hatred for GERD and not a single useful action for the citizens. Thus fruitlessly passed four years – precious time that was lost. And they all stepped on the drought!
We at GERB offer and will offer working solutions. First of all, it will be the provision of sufficient quantities of water for drinking and household needs. Secondly, for irrigation of agricultural crops. It is time for the state to build a unified body for water management and control. We will draw up a comprehensive strategy with short and long term measures to stop piecemeal work.
And, as our leader Boyko Borisov announced today, we will seek from the other parties a shared responsibility for the priorities. Because we are GERB and we have the solutions. And because we are stronger – we will lend a hand.
