Keerthi Suresh gained market status after preparing for the life story of the late actress Savithri and starring in a film titled Tilak in Tamil and Mahanadi in Telugu. But the films that consistently emphasize the heroine did not give him a hand.

The films Penguin, Miss India and Goodluck Saki starring Keerthi Suresh have a storyline that highlights the heroine. Filmgoers say the films have not been as well-received as expected. It is said that Ponni’s Selvan lost her chance to act in 2 big films, Shyam Singarai, which was released in Telugu, due to her contract to act in Rajinikanth’s Annatha.

Trisha plays the role of Keerthi Suresh in Ponni’s Selvan. Saipallavi replaces Keerthi Suresh in Shyam Singarai. Next up is Sanikagitham, who has acted with Selvaragavan in Tamil, Sarkaru Wari Patta starring Maheshbabu in Telugu and Polo Shankar opposite Chiranjeevi.
