In this case, it has now been reported that a researcher named Derek Abbott has discovered who this man is through advanced DNA technology. Abbott worked with renowned US forensics expert Colleen Fitzpatrick to retrieve hair from the man, who is being protected by authorities.
In the end, it has been revealed that the family tree has been reconstructed using DNA from the hair of the unidentified person and found out who the person is.
Abbott said the man’s name was Carl Webb, and that he disappeared after getting divorced in 1947. Also, the man, who was born in 1905, married Dorothy Robertson. Their investigation revealed that he had been working as an electrical engineer while he was said to have died at the age of 43.
Although investigators have provided answers to the 73-year-old mystery, South Australian police have reportedly not released any information about it.
