jpnn.comJAKARTA – The hardcore band from Yogyakarta, Something Wrong, re-recorded their previous works through an album entitled Reignite.

The album is proof of Something Wrong’s existence, which has been able to survive for 27 years.

Founded on September 2, 1997, Something Wrong has released several albums including Demo 99 (2000, self-release), Get Off My Back (2003 via Napi Records), NESU (2010 by SW Records) and a 7′ release containing 2 songs via Zombie Attack Records.

The band, which consists of Bagus Hermanu Danar Sanjaya alias Kucing (vocals), Wahyu Dwi Handoko alias Bopobacox (guitar), Thabrani Adhari alias Tephy (guitar), Wahyu Jatmiko alias Soetik (bass) and Yanuar Surya alias Yansu (drums), is now present with its latest release.

Instead of releasing new songs, Something Wrong decided to re-record their old catalog.

SW Cat said Something Wrong wanted to realize a long-held desire to re-record old songs with sound quality and recording results that would be more pleasing to the listener’s ears.

“We want to give a new feel to SW’s old songs with different sound quality and arrangements. Whether people like or not to enjoy these re-recorded songs depends on their individual tastes,” said Kucing SW, Tuesday (30/7).

The album, entitled Reignite, contains an interesting philosophy for Something Wrong.
