Thomas Anders and Claudia Hess lived under one roof with their son Alexander for 21 years. Now it’s over. At least one thing gives them comfort.
This farewell was particularly difficult for Thomas Anders and Claudia Hess. The pop star and his wife tied the knot in 2000. Just two years later, their family happiness became perfect: their son Alexander Mick Weidung was born and has lived under the same roof with his parents in Koblenz ever since – until now. The 21-year-old has fledged.
The moment when their own children leave the house is particularly difficult for many parents to cope with. Thomas Anders and his wife also felt this. As they revealed to the magazine “Bunte”, all the dams broke for them. “Of course we also shed tears because our son moved out,” admits Claudia Anders. But one detail might help you.
Thomas Anders’ son lives only ten minutes away
She in particular was “sad and emotional” for a while. Alexander, who is currently training to become a real estate agent, also felt this. However, Claudia Anders explains: “Our son didn’t say goodbye to us as parents, but only to his home.” And the latter is probably within reach. Alexander’s new apartment is only a ten-minute drive from his parents’ house.
It’s not surprising that Alexander stays close to his parents. In the “Bunte” interview he emphasizes how close their relationship is: “My parents are definitely my role models. They live exactly what I would like to have. As a couple and as people.” Conversely, Thomas Anders showed how happy he is about his son in an Instagram post in November 2023. He wrote about a photo together: “This time my son is accompanying me […] on my Canada tour, which makes me particularly proud.”
